Marion Bartoli has surprised people quite a few times this year and it seems she is not done yet.

Her win in the final of the Wimbledon Championships was not less than a shock for the tennis fans. Very few people would have seen that win coming. But, it came. Bartoli won her first Grand Slam singles title in her 13th season as a professional player. It seemed she was approaching her peak, but, then, the 28 years old Frenchwoman came up with something which was even more shocking than her win at Wimbledon. After an early exit at Cincinnati, the Frenchwoman announced that she was going to hang her racquets. That was a big disappointment for her fans.

It seemed Bartoli was history, but, now, she has given another interesting statement. In one of her interviews a couple of days back, Bartoli said, “Coming back is not something which is completely out of the equation. It can happen, but for that, I will have to feel that my body is ready.”

“Only a player knows what his/her body is going through. An outsider can’t understand that. It’s me who will have to make the decision.”

Bartoli’s name hasn’t been removed from the official rankings of WTA. She is still ranked 7th in the world.

The Frenchwoman said, “Honestly speaking, it’s not in my mind at the moment. I am really enjoying my life after retirement. But, you don’t know what will happen in future. My name will be there in the rankings till the season gets finished. Let’s see how things go. It’s tough to say anything at this point of time.”

Bartoli is currently in USA. She is working there as an expert for a television channel which is covering US Open.
