Tsonga Liked Everywhere

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is liked by the spectators everywhere in the world because of his style. He is very entertaining on the court not only while playing, but, in his celebrations as well. People would not have forgot the way he had celebrated after getting better of the grass court king Roger Federer in the quarter final round of the Wimbledon Championships in 2011.

Tsonga was trailed by a couple of sets during that match, but, he bounced back from there and put up a thrilling show in the last three sets to knock Federer out of his familiar territory.

However, one thing that always leaves Tsonga’s fans disappointed is his inconsistency. He always tends to fall before big accomplishments. In many Grand Slam tournaments, he has started well and has dominated till the Round of 4, but, has fallen after that. He has no Slam singles title under his belt till date and that’s a shame for somebody of his calibre.

During the 2012 season, Tsonga had got himself into the top 5 in the world rankings. He was breathing down the neck of the Big 4 and was tipped by many experts as the world no. 1 in the making, but, he dropped down quite significantly thereafter and presently, he is at the 17th position.

Tsonga has got too big a support staff at the moment. He has been working under two head coaches since October 2013 and that might be going against him. You need to be clear headed as a player if you have to succeed at the senior level consistently. Two coaches might be confusing for a player at times.

In total, Tsonga has featured in 33 games this season out of which he has lost 12 which is way too many.
